Project 365: Day 162-165: Tarot Progress And Moar Cats

Day 162 – Hi, Cali!

Day 162b – The Four of Cups WIP

I tried my best to work on painting more tarot cards while in California, like the Four of Cups on the right. I’ve found that having all the prep work done makes things much, much easier. All the finished research, all the animals chosen, the final sketches laid out.. once those are all done, I can just jump into painting them the next day without having to waste extra time. I am so determined to plow through these cards! I’m still.. only about a third of the way done the deck, but I have completed a lot more tarot cards the last two  months than probably the last year; so I think I’m definitely improving.

I tried to take a lot of different photos while I was on my trip.. but I think the majority of them ended up being of either food or cats. I can’t help it! I don’t own any pets at the moment; so I have to take full advantage of spending so much time around other animals, and taking as many photographs as I can of them. I suppose I can say that all the different photographs are great references for future cat paintings.. right? Right?

About Jo @ Rainbow of Crazy

My username came from that very random day several years ago when I was told that I was a "walking rainbow of crazy... twinkling with the spectrum of a thousand different colours." That name makes me smile to this day and will always remain with me! http://www.rainbowofcrazy.com https://rainbowofcrazy.wordpress.com
